The Medical and Health Sciences Doctoral Study Program (DIKK) succeeded in achieving great accomplishments as the Doctoral study program with the highest applications at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) in the 2023/2024 academic year. A total of 60 prospective PhD candidates picked DIKK as their primary study program, demonstrating strong interest and faith in the quality of education and research provided by this program.

When the agenda for admitting new DIKK students was held on the 3rd Floor of the Postgraduate Building, Faculty of Medicine, UNDIP, it was a momentous event. The DIKK study program management formally accepted 28 new students who successfully completed the final selection round. They contribute not just to the long-term viability of our PhD program, but also to the advancement of medical and health sciences.

This new student acceptance ceremony is a memorable occasion. Prof. Dr. dr. Tri Indah Winarni, M.Sc. Med, PhD, Head of the DIKK Study Program, joyfully greeted the new students and expressed gratitude for their accomplishments. Prof. Tri Indah Winarni made the following statement: “The acceptance of this number of new DIKK PhD students is proof that our study program is recognized and sought after by potential researchers and academics.”

It is hoped that the DIKK Study Program will continue to expand and make a significant contribution to bringing innovation and new information to the field of medicine with the participation of 28 excited new students. This performance also illustrates UNDIP’s dedication to enhance higher education quality in Indonesia, particularly in the disciplines of medicine and health sciences. This next generation will hopefully be able to raise DIKK and UNDIP to the pinnacle of academic and scientific excellence.
